The question really is-Can you make a difference RIGHT NOW by changing the way you think?  The purpose of this site to get away from retail pricing and auctions WHICH ARE NOT REALLY CONSUMER  FRIENDLY.   They are profit focused means of exchanging goods and services.   Here, we are a little different.  This is a GREAT community where you can BEG, BARTER,or sometimes BUY almost anything!   If you are looking for an auction site or somewhere you can sell to make a HUGE profit, this community is NOT for you but we encourage you to stay and maybe have a change of heart . 

The intent of this site is to get back to a more neighborly way of doing business.   We are a consumer friendly and planet friendly site.   Don't throw it away and create more waste.  Recycle it by "paying it forward" to someone who may need it.  Don't put it on an auction site, give it away for little or no cost to someone who needs it but can't afford the cost right now.  We can ALL help each other AND the planet by exchanging goods and services through recycling of items we already have. 

This is an SAFE online community.  This is the site for people who do not want to have strangers around your house for hours for a yard sale.  This is the site for people who rent tables at a flea market when most of the stuff you end up giving away or trashing at the end of the day.   Or maybe you are not a yard sale or flea market kind of person so you just throw all the "extra" stuff away.   It is the site for those of us who also understand that "new" is a relative term that only benefits retailers.   Let's explore how. 

Your "old" STUFF can actually be someone else's "new" STUFF.   As BOOMER consumers we need to take back our economic power by bartering with other consumers and cut out the profit hungry conglomerates that have us caught up in their definition of "new".  Their definition perpetuates the spending cycles of high priced goods by making us believe they are disposable after a short time period AND NEED TO BE REPLACED WITH SOMETHING "NEW-ER". 

Think about it, the life of computers, cell phones, videos games, even books that have already been read, are dictated in most cases by retailers or mega corporations.  So what do you do with them when you're done?  Have you ever thought those "old" items can be "new items" to someone else?  Take a minute to think about it......we'll wait for you....... while you look at your pile of "stuff" and decide.
